Daydream Island's premium resort is set to re-open its doors from April 10, 2019 after extensive refurbishments post Cyclone Debbie.
After two years of re-development, the new and improved Daydream Island Resort will offer 277 refurbished contemporary rooms and suites as well as launch new signature dining concepts, and an underwater living reef observatory.
Daydream Island Resort General Manager, Dawson Tang stated that the new look design would complement the stunning and tropical Whitsundays region.
"We wanted the new Daydream Island Resort to reflect the beauty of its surroundings through architecture, design and dining direction," he said.
"We have embraced the favourite memories of our guests by reinstating the Living Reef, the Outdoor Cinema and an ode to the mermaids."
The resort will also showcase its new signature dining concepts across three new restaurants, Graze Interactive Dining, Infinity and Inkstone Kitchen, as well as three bars including Barefoot Bar, Tonic and Silica.
Featuring interactive cooking stations and diverse dining options, the restaurants will showcase local produce, a variety of international cuisines and provide an unforgettable dining experience.
As well as dining, Daydream Island Resort's Living Reef, will return to the island with a brand new design.
The 200m free form coral lagoon will wrap around the resort and provide a home for stingrays, coral and thousands of species of fish. Guests will be able to explore and learn from marine biologists about the Living Reef while feeding the marine life.
Guests will also be able to view the marine life in action from a new underwater observatory 4m below the surface.
The new look Daydream Island pool landscape will wind between tropical gardens throughout the resort and offer panoramic views across the magical Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef.
An exclusive adults-only area will also provide refined levels of luxury and intimacy to cater for those in search of a romantic and peaceful escape.
